Power lines collapsed, leaving thousands in darkness.

Children are now sleeping under torn tarpaulins. Elders are sick with no access to medicines. People have not eaten proper meals in days. With no clean water, no toilets, and no electricity, health risks are rising. In some villages, people have lost everything—they escaped the flood with just the clothes on their backs.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rainfall and more cloudbursts are expected. Six districts—Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Hamirpur, and Solan—are under 24-hour flash flood alerts.

Roads are blocked. Helicopters cannot fly due to bad weather. Many survivors are unreachable. Time is running out.

Rescue operations are ongoing, but resources are limited. Emergency supplies are running low. Relief camps are overflowing. People urgently need food, shelter, clean water, and medical help.
