Help To Feed Monkeys

In the holy city of Mathura, the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, thousands of monkeys live on the streets, around temples, and in nearby forests. These monkeys are not just animals — they are considered sacred, descendants of the great Vanar Sena who helped Prabhu Shri Ram in his journey for dharma. Just as Lord Hanuman ji symbolizes strength, devotion, and loyalty, today’s monkeys carry that divine legacy. However, their condition today is heartbreaking.

Due to growing cities, cutting down of forests, and changes in the environment, these monkeys are losing their natural homes and food sources. With nowhere to go and nothing to eat, many of them suffer from hunger, illness, and even death. Every day, hundreds of monkeys in Mathura search for food and water. Sometimes, they get into human homes or markets in desperation, only to be shooed away. Many are weak, some are injured, and most are hungry.

Their cries are silent but deep. As caretakers of dharma and humanity, it is our responsibility to help these sacred beings. They are not just part of our heritage, they are part of our faith.

1. Krishna Dham Gaushala’s Noble Mission

Pitra Dosh Nivaran Upay

Krishna Dham Gaushala, known for its selfless service to injured and abandoned cows, has now started a new seva – feeding monkeys in Mathura. Understanding the urgent need, they have launched a daily monkey feeding program. The team identifies the areas where monkeys gather in large numbers — near temples, in the ghats, forest areas, and streets — and feeds them with natural and nutritious food.

Fresh gud (jaggery), chana (roasted gram), bananas, and rotis are distributed daily. Clean water is also provided. This is not just feeding – this is seva, a service to those who once served our deities.

2. How Your Donation Can Help

While the team is doing their best, they cannot continue this work without support. With your help, Krishna Dham Gaushala can expand and improve this noble mission. Your donation can:

  • Feed hundreds of monkeys every day with healthy and natural food like bananas, gud, chana, and rotis.
  • Set up regular feeding stations at specific spots where monkey groups live.
  • Provide medical help to injured or weak monkeys, many of whom suffer silently.
  • Support awareness drives to educate people about living peacefully with urban monkeys.

Even a small amount from your side can help feed many hungry stomachs. One meal can be the difference between life and death for these innocent animals.

3. Serving Monkeys is Sacred

Ancient scriptures like the Ramayan and various Puranas speak of the greatness of monkeys in our spiritual journey. Lord Hanuman, the most respected among them, is worshipped in every corner of India. Lord Hanuman ji’s love, loyalty, and dedication to Shri Ram is known to all. It is also written that serving animals, especially monkeys and cows, brings blessings, peace, and freedom from sins.

So when you donate food to a monkey in need, you are not just doing charity — you are walking the path of dharma.
