Maha Shivratri is a sacred festival celebrated on Falgun Krishna Chaturdashi, dedicated to Lord Shiva. On this special day, devotees offer prayers, observe fasts, and perform rituals to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. It is believed that Nandi, the sacred bull, is Lord Shiva’s carrier. According to Hindu tradition, whispering your wishes into Nandi’s ears ensures that they reach Lord Shiva himself.

However, religious texts suggest that serving a living Nandi (a bull) and feeding him with love and care is even more auspicious. By doing so, devotees can gain divine blessings and fulfillment of their wishes. This Maha Shivratri, take a step beyond temple rituals and directly serve Nandi Maharaj by offering food through our cow shelter at Krishna Dham Gaushala.
