Heavy rainfall and record water discharge from the Yamuna have caused devastating floods in Mathura and Vrindavan. Dozens of low-lying colonies, including the stretch along the Mathura–Vrindavan road, are under 3–4 feet of water. Villages in the Khadar region are completely submerged; homes, schools, and temples are flooded.

The Forgotten Victims: Our Cows

In this sacred land of Krishna, where cows are revered as mothers, thousands of cows have been displaced. Gaushalas have collapsed, fodder has been washed away, and cows are left wandering the streets — weak, hungry, and exposed to disease. Floodwaters have contaminated their food and drinking sources, leaving them at serious risk of infections. Old cows, calves, and the sick are suffering the most — many are stranded without food or veterinary care.
