Providing Relief from the Heat for Gaumata in Dehradun – A Fan and Cooler Donation Drive

As the summer season intensifies, Dehradun and its surrounding areas are experiencing a significant rise in temperature. The ones bearing the brunt of this unbearable heat are our voiceless Gaumata (cows), both those sheltered in Gaushalas and the abandoned ones roaming the streets. They are in dire need of shade and cool air to survive the harsh conditions of this season.

The Plight of Gaumata in the Heat:

In Gaushalas, limited space and inadequate facilities exacerbate the suffering of the cows from the extreme heat and humidity. The situation for the abandoned cows on the streets is even more critical. Walking on scorching roads, facing a scarcity of food and water, and being directly exposed to the sun make them severely ill and can even lead to fatalities. Weak and sick cows are particularly vulnerable during this time.

Considering these distressing circumstances, we have decided to launch the "Fan and Cooler Donation Drive". The primary objective of this project is to install fans and coolers in Gaushalas to provide much-needed relief to the cows from the heat. Additionally, we will strive to arrange shaded areas and water facilities for the stray cows on the streets.

Donations made to Krishna Dham Gaushala are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
