Mauni Amavasya Vanar Seva – Feed & Protect Monkeys in Vrindavan & Mathura A Seva Initiative by Krishna Dham Gaushala

Mauni Amavasya is a sacred day of silence, purity, and daan—when devotion becomes meaningful through compassionate action. On this auspicious occasion, Krishna Dham Gaushala is extending its seva beyond Gau Seva and dedicating a special Vanar Seva (Monkey Feeding Drive) in Vrindavan and Mathura. In temple towns and nearby localities, monkeys often struggle to find safe food and clean water. Through this seva, we aim to reduce their hardship and serve them with dignity, discipline, and responsibility.

Why Vanar Seva on Mauni Amavasya Matters

Mauni Amavasya reminds us that true bhakti is not limited to rituals—it is compassion in action. In Vrindavan and Mathura, monkeys are part of the sacred environment, yet many suffer silently due to hunger, dehydration, stress, and injuries caused by harsh conditions. Responsible feeding can bring calm, reduce suffering, and help maintain harmony in crowded temple areas. When done with discipline and respect, this seva becomes a pure offering of kindness.

Fresh, safe, and suitable food distribution (such as fruits and appropriate items) at selected points where monkey movement is common, served responsibly to avoid waste and harm.
