Mahashivratri Vanar Seva (Mathura–Vrindavan) — Feed & Treat Monkeys with Compassion A service initiative by Krishna Dham Gaushala

On Mahashivratri, devotion is not only expressed through prayers—it is also expressed through protection, care, and kindness to every living being. In the sacred lands of Mathura and Vrindavan, where faith and compassion are deeply rooted, Krishna Dham Gaushala begins this special Vanar Seva drive to support monkeys who are hungry, injured, or suffering due to harsh weather, habitat loss, and frequent human-wildlife conflict. Around ghats, temple routes, parikrama paths, and nearby settlements, many monkeys struggle to find safe food and timely medical help. Through this campaign, we aim to provide daily nourishment and essential treatment so that compassion becomes the true celebration of the night of Shiva.

Why Mahashivratri Vanar Seva Matters in Mathura–Vrindavan

Mahashivratri is a powerful reminder of inner awakening, discipline, and service. When we extend care to voiceless animals, we transform our faith into meaningful action. In Mathura–Vrindavan, monkeys are often seen near temples, crowded lanes, and pilgrimage routes, where they face food scarcity, dehydration, injuries from falls, infections, and untreated wounds. Many are also harmed by unsafe leftovers and plastic waste. During festive periods and colder nights, their struggle becomes even more visible. Vanar Seva on Mahashivratri is a humble offering: a way to protect life, reduce suffering, and restore dignity to animals that depend on human empathy for survival.

What This Mathura–Vrindavan Campaign Will Support

1) Daily Feeding & Nutrition Support (Temple Routes & Nearby Areas)

Your contribution helps us arrange clean, safe, and adequate nourishment for monkeys in identified areas across Mathura and Vrindavan. Proper feeding is not just about hunger—it supports immunity, reduces aggressive scavenging, and helps prevent animals from consuming harmful waste. Consistent nourishment also reduces stress and supports healthier groups in high-footfall zones.

2) Medical Treatment & First Aid (Injury, Infection, Weakness)

Many monkeys suffer from untreated injuries—cuts, fractures, infections, skin issues, and weakness caused by malnutrition or illness. This campaign supports emergency response, first aid, wound dressing, basic medicines, and veterinary consultation whenever needed. Timely care reduces pain, prevents complications, and improves recovery chances for injured and sick monkeys.

3) Rescue Assistance & Supportive Care (Crowded & Risk-Prone Spots)

Some cases require careful handling—injured monkeys found near busy roads, ghats, temple corridors, or crowded markets. Your support helps us coordinate safe assistance with experienced caregivers and veterinary guidance. When required, we arrange supportive care such as rest, monitoring, and recovery help, ensuring the animal is stabilized and protected from further harm.

Our Promise of Transparent, Compassionate Seva

At Krishna Dham Gaushala, service is done with responsibility and respect. We plan feeding and treatment efforts with care for hygiene, safety, and animal well-being in Mathura–Vrindavan. Every contribution—small or large—directly strengthens our ability to provide nourishment and medical help to monkeys who cannot ask for support. This is seva that protects life and uplifts the values Mahashivratri stands for: devotion, discipline, and compassion.

How You Can Join This Mahashivratri Seva

You may also share this campaign with friends and family so more hearts join this cause. When kindness becomes collective, suffering reduces faster.
