Magh Purnima Vanar Seva – Monkey Feeding & Care in Vrindavan & Mathura A compassion-driven initiative by Krishna Dham Gaushala

Magh Purnima is an auspicious full-moon day associated with purity, prayer, and daan. In the sacred land of Vrindavan and Mathura, many monkeys struggle every day for safe food and clean water. Some are weak from hunger, some are injured, and many survive on unsafe scraps that harm their health. Through this Magh Purnima Vanar Seva, Krishna Dham Gaushala is organizing a responsible feeding and care drive—so nourishment reaches voiceless lives with dignity.

Why Vanar Seva on Magh Purnima Matters

Vanar Seva is not just feeding—it is responsible compassion. When food becomes scarce, stress increases and conflicts rise. Organized distribution helps reduce hunger-driven distress, supports calmer surroundings, and encourages safer human–animal coexistence in crowded temple lanes and ghats. A timely meal and hydration can bring strength back to young, elderly, and weaker monkeys, while mindful observation can help us identify urgent cases that need basic assistance.

What Krishna Dham Gaushala Will Do

🍌 Safe & Suitable Feeding

Distribute fruits and appropriate food in controlled portions at selected points—avoiding harmful items and ensuring clean handling.

💧 Clean Water Support

Provide hydration assistance where feasible, especially during dry spells and seasonal heat/cold stress.

🩹 Basic Help for Weak/Injured

Observe and coordinate basic, responsible support for visibly weak or injured monkeys wherever possible through local assistance.
