As winter approaches and we find warmth and comfort in our homes, we often forget about those on the streets who are struggling to make it through the day. Especially those who can’t even express the pain and discomfort they are in - animals.

India has over 5 million stray cattle, many of whom don’t find safe shelter or food. They’re forced to rummage through garbage, starve for days and sometimes even succumb to their illness due to lack of help. In winter, their challenges only increase. Cold and shivering, our gaumatas have nowhere to go to stay warm and protected. Every winter, thousands of cows suffer in freezing temperatures.
