Thousands of monkeys in India, believed to be the descendants of the great Vanar Sena who once served Prabhu Shri Ram during the Ramayana era, are today suffering from hunger, neglect, and abandonment. These innocent creatures, who symbolize loyalty, devotion, and bravery, now wander helplessly through temple courtyards, city streets, and forest patches, desperately searching for food.

As the population of Mathura has grown and cities have expanded, the green spaces and forests that once provided natural food for these monkeys have shrunk. Earlier, there were trees, fruit-bearing plants, and open lands where the monkeys could live freely and feed themselves. But now, with increasing concrete structures and less awareness among people, their natural sources of food and water are almost gone. The monkeys now rely entirely on what kind-hearted people give them. Sadly, even that is becoming rare.

The condition is heartbreaking. Every day, many monkeys suffer silently. Without food and clean water, their health declines. Many fall sick or get injured. Some even die without anyone noticing. These monkeys are not just animals, they are an important part of our culture, our scriptures, and our spiritual heritage.

Our ancient texts and stories have always spoken about the importance of seva — selfless service. One of the greatest examples of devotion is Hanuman ji, the mighty and loving vanar who stood by Lord Ram in every battle. He was not alone. Thousands of vanar sena built bridges, crossed oceans, and fought evil in the service of dharma. Today, their descendants — the monkeys of Mathura — need our support more than ever.

1. You can help Krishna Dham Gaushala

To address this urgent need, Krishna Dham Gaushala has started a beautiful initiative. This gaushala, known for its love and care for abandoned and injured cows, has now extended its arms to help the monkeys of Mathura. A daily feeding drive has been launched with the aim to provide fresh fruits like bananas and papayas, grains like wheat and chana, and clean drinking water to hundreds of monkeys in various parts of Mathura.

Donate to Feed Monkeys – Our feeding drive is not just about food. It is about respect, compassion, and remembering our duty towards all living beings. With your help, this effort can grow bigger and reach more monkeys every day.

2. How your donation can impact

  • Daily Nutritious Meals: Your contribution can help provide fresh food to hundreds of monkeys who otherwise go hungry.
  • Permanent Feeding Points: With enough support, we can build permanent feeding stations in temples, parks, and forests where monkeys gather.
  • Medical Help: Injured or sick monkeys often suffer in silence. Your donation can help in arranging basic treatment and care.
  • Spreading Awareness: We also aim to educate people about living with monkeys peacefully and encouraging compassion towards urban wildlife.

This is not just a donation. It is an act of seva. A chance to show our love and respect to the great Hanuman ji and his divine army. It is an opportunity to serve those who once served the Lord.

Many of us offer sweets and flowers in temples, light diyas, and chant mantras. These are beautiful ways to show devotion. But the most powerful devotion is that which reduces someone’s pain. Feeding a hungry monkey is like offering a garland at the feet of Hanuman ji himself.

Every small act counts. Whether it’s ₹101, ₹501 or more — your kindness can feed a monkey, save a life, and bring peace to your soul. Together, we can make sure that no any monkey is forgotten or left to suffer.

”Let us stand up for them, let us serve them. Let this be our offering to dharma”
